Exciting News - A New Collaboration With Airbox Aerospace.....
We are delighted to announce an exciting new collaboration with Airbox Aerospace
To quote Steve Slater, of Biggles Biplane and Kingpin Media:-
"The BE2 replica will be on display alongside another WW1 icon, the Fokker DR-1 triplane. Appropriately registered G-FOKK, the aeroplane is operated by Jasta Binks Aviation and is an authentic replica of the aircraft flown by the legendary ‘Red Baron’ Manfred von Richthofen.
While both aircraft authentically reproduce the sight, sound and handling characteristics of the WW1 originals, one of the items in each aircraft’s cockpit offers the latest in 21st Century technology.
The aircraft are being used to demonstrate the latest Airbox Aware and Clarity, self contained GPS navigation units developed by Airbox Aerospace Limited in conjunction with NATS (National Air Traffic Services).
They combine satellite navigation with the Aware airspace warning device to aid navigation and help reduce the risk of airspace infringements, while not compromising the authentic appearance of the vintage cockpits.''
Daily Air Display.....There will be a daily evening air display - and the plan is for Matthew Boddington to Display the Fokker Triplane on Saturday evening - however, the programme is subject to change.
